Lindsay Ternovatsky // Branding, Marketing & Web Design Studio St. Albert

about

My background is in visual communication design, fine art, marketing + web development.

I work with clients to elevate their brand by bringing it to the next level on a variety of platforms.

Over the past 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of working in both the public and private sectors, as well as freelancing for my own company. My diverse client base has included architects, home builders, large and small retail businesses, industrial companies, non-profit organizations, and municipal governments across Alberta and British Columbia.

Originally from Penticton, British Columbia, I moved to Edmonton in 2002 to attend the University of Alberta on a sports scholarship for field hockey. The U of A appealed to me not only for its athletic opportunities but also for its Bachelor of Design in Visual Communications program. In addition to my degree, I’ve completed a Web Application Development certificate from NAIT and pursued coursework in the University of Alberta’s Master of Arts in Communication and Technology program.

I have a strong interest in technology and healthcare, particularly in how online communities can support parents of NICU neonates. In 2014, I focused my graduate studies on this topic, exploring how digital connections can help alleviate stress for families. My research included time spent at BC Children’s Hospital, The Stollery Children’s Hospital, The Alberta Children’s Hospital, and The Ronald McDonald House in Vancouver, studying the unique ways hospital NICUs and their social programs operate.
